Mdm Siti (not her real name) decided to leave her job of five years after suffering a torn ligament in her arm. Her injury had rendered her unfit for her job then, which required much of her physical strength. As a single mother and sole breadwinner to two school-going children, she was worried about having to survive with no income for the months to come. Consequently, her children would scrimp and save their daily allowance. More often than not, they would come home hungry after their co-curricular activities after school.

On top of her own injuries, Mdm Siti also had to care for her youngest child who was diagnosed with scoliosis in primary school. She attended her daughter’s physiotherapy sessions, as well as nursed her daughter after her surgery to align her spine. After hearing about the Adopt a Family & Youth Scheme (AFYS) on the radio, she decided to approach AMP for assistance.

Mdm Siti's family is among the beneficiaries under AFYS who are going through challenges in life. Your support towards our cause can help them in their effort towards changing their lives for the better.

She will share how she coped with the financial difficulties while staying strong for her children.
